MAN HIT BY MOTOR VEHICLE ON THE 95

LAS VEGAS - Nevada Highway Patrol says one man was critically injured after a vehicle struck him near northbound U.S. 95 and Valley View Boulevard.

The accident happened shortly after 4 a.m. Thursday. NHP says the man stopped to help with an earlier crash when the car hit him. He was taken to University Medical Center in critical condition.

The vehicle fled the scene, but authorities later apprehended the driver, who was arrested for felony hit and run.
